I realised that my website doesn’t show off ‘properly’ on what I can do, that is what my strengths are in IT. So I thought I’d update the site to show off these skills. it was originally just HTML using Bootstrap, then I realised…. dang! Far too much information to whack on a single page. So I thought, well, I could, ‘just add’ some more pages…
At that point the penny dropped – I should be using a WordPress instance that has a custom theme that I’m using! So, that site was pulled down – and this theme put in its place.
Depending on the complexity of the site AND depending on what the client needs, I either create one using a WordPress boilerplate and code by hand, or I use a template builder. As this is meant to show off my coding skills – this is the former!
If you are looking on 21st December 2020 – it’s looking a tad sparse, as it has no design whatsoever!! (well a guy has to start somewhere!)
EDIT: I noticed that there wasn’t an image showing the sparseness of the site, so I added, screenshotted, and removed the boilerplate template to show it off!!
